 Worldschool

We love worldschooling! What is it? It’s like homeschooling but much more! It’s incorporating learning through the rich experiences one can only gain when going to a foreign place. When we worldschool, we learn about geography, climates, ecosystems, flora and fauna, cultures, languages, customs, communities, health, religion, and the indescribable lessons one gains through meeting people of foreign lands and beginning to see the world through their eyes a little more.

We’ve had the privilege of taking the Doherty kids to Peru where we visited Lima, Cuszco, Machu Picchu, Iquitos and then far back in the jungle to remote tribes.

Worldschooling is one of the greatest and richest blessings in our lives and we are so happy we chose to do it! I know my kids are forever enriched because of these awesome experiences!

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.
